Petit Patate ("the app") is a personal focus timer. This policy explains what the app
does and does not do with your data. The short version: Petit Patate does not collect,
sell, or share your personal data. The developer has no access to your information.
Who we are
Petit Patate is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). You can reach us at
[email protected].
What data the app handles
- Focus history & categories. The focus sessions you complete and the categories you
create are stored locally on your device (using Apple's SwiftData) and, if you are
signed in to iCloud, synced through your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit).
This data lives in your own iCloud account. We cannot see, access, or retrieve it.
- Preferences. Timer lengths, week-start day, and feature toggles are stored locally
on your device and are not synced or transmitted.
- Purchases. The optional subscription is processed entirely by Apple through the
App Store (StoreKit). The app never receives your name, card, or payment details — only
whether an active entitlement exists.
- Notifications. Focus-completion reminders are scheduled as local notifications on
your device. No notification content leaves the device or passes through our servers.
- Screen Time / app blocking. If you enable "Block distracting apps," your app and
website selections are handled on-device by Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls)
framework. The app receives opaque tokens from iOS and never learns which specific
apps or sites you chose.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect analytics or usage statistics.
- We do not use any third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We operate no servers of our own; the app talks only to Apple's services on your behalf.
Data retention & deletion
Because your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud account, you are in
control of it:
- Delete individual categories or sessions inside the app.
- Delete the app to remove its on-device data.
